Manes, Luther "Luke" Everett, departed our world on September 9, 2012 at the age of 59. He accepted the Lord as his savior at West Wichita Missionary Baptist Church. Luther was born October 22, 1952 in Wichita to Everett "Pee Wee" and Mary Eva Manes. The fourth of seven children, he was preceded in death by his father Everett; brothers, Dean and Roy; sister Judy. Survivors: mother, Mary; sisters, Stella L. Smith, Gwendolyn K. Liberty all of Wichita, Mary M. Westerholdt of New Market, MD; children, Amber, Jody, Cole. A tile setter by trade, many homes in Hoovers Orchard bear his handiwork. He was an avid fan of boating, fishing, camping, skiing and knee boarding and always ready for a cookout and game of horseshoes. Godspeed Luther.
