Stephen B. Dietrich, 70, Retired Aircraft Mechanic, loving husband and devoted family man, peacefully passed away on September 22, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones in Wichita. He was born on June 1, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas to Ira and Bertha Lavina (Ellis) Dietrich. He served his country in the United States Army and was awarded the following ribbons and medals: The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device, 2 Overseas Bars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Bronze Star, and the Expert (M-16). He attended and graduated from Kansas Newman University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Sylvester (Sal) Dietrich, Mary Joan West, Martin Dietrich and Michael Dietrich. Survived by his wife: Donna of 49 years; children: Kimberly (Scot) Wilken, Stephanie (Dennis) Heimerman, Tammy (James) Loyd and Kenneth Dietrich; siblings: Sylvia Thomas, Walter Dietrich, Richard Dietrich, Janice Davenport, Alan Dietrich, James Dietrich, Mark Dietrich, Donald Dietrich and Karen Patterson; grandchildren: Austin Wilken, Kyli Fettke, Jaret Wilken, Isaac Blaine, Jason Gonzales, Devin Heimerman, Jayce Loyd, Camryn Loyd, Ashlyn Loyd, Clayton Dietrich; great-grandchildren: Jett, Brooklyn, Bentleigh, Theron, Harley. Rosary: Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 7 p.m. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 both at Christ The King Catholic Church, 4411 West Maple, Wichita, Kansas. Burial to follow with Military Honors at Greenwood Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.
