Bird, Rodney L. Age 68, passed away on October 10, 2019. He is survived by his son, Brett (Allison) Bird; two grandchildren, Ava and Bennie Bird; brothers, Ron (Melinda) & Roger (Irma) Bird. I really enjoyed Rodney's company back in the day.. He was kind, funny, and willing to push the edges. He gave me crap and respect when I needed it. He was one of the good ones. My condolences to his family and friends. Via con dios, Rodney.

Rodney lived around the corner from me when I first became acquainted with him in 1966. We were pretty good friends for the next 10 years. So many times when there was laughter, or fun, just good times of my youth, Rodney was there. I lost touch with him, as so often happens with high school friends as we grow up. I know he faced challenges, as we all do, but all my memories of Bird are good ones. Rest in peace, my old friend.Joseph Erdman
Sorry to hear about Rodney passing. We would hang out and I remember we made a super 8 movie with Charlie Mcadams playing like we were shooting things up with a Thompson. Thats the last time I remeber seeing him, he was such a layed back, just a nice guy.

Rodney was a good friend with a wonderful sense of humor. I'll never forget going after-hours to the restaurants where Rodney worked and making custom pizzas or giant burritos. I think this is when the culinary concept of the Bean and Bean Burrito was created. He definitely knew how to have fun!
We (of course) drank way too many beers together but I also remember the delicious steak dinners we grilled when our hungry group of friends got together. So that's humor, beer and food...what am I forgetting?
We all went our separate ways but I will never forget Rodney's smile, his wit and his priceless friendship.
