Jo Ellen Carter Albert

Jo Ellen Albert, 57, of Wichita, died early Thursday morning, September 23, 2010, at the Hiawatha Community Hospital. 
She was born at Hiawatha, December 25, 1952, one of two children of Warren Calvin and Wilma Elizabeth Hards Carter and was a lifelong resident of Wichita. She grew up there where she attended school, later obtaining her GED. Jo worked as a key punch operator most of her working life, most recently at Raython Aircraft Manufacturing. 

Survivors include two daughters: Jeri Lynn Penix of Hiawatha, Ginny Hernandez of Wichita; her mother Wilma Carter of Hiawatha; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her father Warren; a brother John Carter in 2006; and a granddaughter Megan. 

It was her wish to be cremated with memorial services to be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at the family lot at Hiawatha Cemetery.
