Cynthia A. Burnett, 60, died March 4, 2013, at Newton Medical Center. She was born Nov. 4, 1952, in Wichita to John B. and Frances (Freeman) Van Houten. She worked in medical records at Heartspring in Wichita. Cynthia is survived by two daughters, Judi Walton of Newton and Autumn Penner of Derby; one son, Michael Burnett Jr. of Illinois; one brother, John Van Houten of Colonial Beach, Va. She has 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside committal service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's?Catholic Cemetery in Newton, with the Rev. Jim Mainzer presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Heartspring in Wichita.
