Connie Sue Collins Anderson

January 4, 1952 in Russell, Kansas - March 9, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Connie S. Anderson (Collins) on March 9, 2026. Born on January 4, 1952, in Russell, Kansas. 

Connie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. At the time of her passing, she was living in Wichita, Kansas, close to her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Connie attended school in Wichita and graduated from Wichita West High School. She resided in Scotland, South Carolina, and Kansas at times throughout her life. Connie loved family time, especially holiday gatherings. Get-togethers would be filled with laughter, and her laugh was one you could recognize through an entire house full of people. Her generosity was evident while Christmas gifting, and dying Easter eggs with the kids was one of her specialties. Garage sales were a favorite pastime, along with reading a great scary book, and watching true crime shows. One of her favorite foods to eat was fresh summer tomatoes. 

Hard worker describes Connie well. She was a long-time employee at the United States Postal Service and retired from there.

Connie is survived by her two daughters, Cara Anderson and Alicia Anderson. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Rowan and Easton Guebara, Conner and Rylee Rutherford, and Joshua and Jaci Garrison. Survivors also include siblings Gary Collins (Phyllis), Sharon Bane (Gene), and Debra Watson (Mark).

She was the best mom and grandma one could ask for. She was present and constant for every moment of our lives. Her legacy goes on through all the lives she touched, all those she loved, and those who loved her. She is deeply missed and left such a void here on earth. We love you, Mom. You were our MVP.
