Bowles, Bill D., 54, passed away Nov. 5, 2006. Nine years ago he was an organ recipient and last Sunday, he became a donor of life himself, coming full circle in giving the gift of life. Survivors include his wife Diana; children Tiffany (Doug), Ashley and Zachary; grandchilren Mackenzie and Brenden; parents Bill and Jacque; brothers Mike and Doug and families. Bill was employed at U.S. BioEnergy as well as a volunteer for the Midwest Transpla nt Network. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 4:00 p.m. at University Friends Church. Memorials have been established with the Midwest Transplant Network and Ronald McDonald House. Resthaven Mortuary.

Bill was such a good man, my roommate in college and good friend. His soulmate Diane Mc Millan is a wonderful person and a very good friend. Miss you Bill!

I am so thankful to have been a friend to Bill and honored that I was his 'co-pilot' on the flight to Omaha for his liver transplant. The transplant was a gift in so many ways - he saw his children graduate from high school and college, as well as to know his grandchildren. He gave all of us a gift also - he showed us how to handle a terrible disease with dignity, grace, and courage. We miss him, but rejoice that he is now truly home with a body free of disease.
