Jimmie Calvin McQueen was born on May 28, 1930 in Trousdale, Lincoln Township, Edwards County, Kansas to Charles Cecil and Florence Odessa Mondy McQueen.  After graduating from the University of Kansas in 1952 he served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955.  He taught mathematics at Lewis High School in Lewis, Kansas in 1957.  In 1958 he joined the staff of Wichita High School West where he taught mathematics until 1979. Jimmie taught math at Wichita High School Northwest from 1980 until his retirement.

Jimmie Calvin McQueen, 67, died Jan. 3, 1998, at his home. He was born May 28, 1930, at Trousdale, the son of Cecil and Florence Mondy McQueen. A lifetime Kinsley resident, he was a teacher. He belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7349, the Association of Retired Kansas Teachers and the Kansas National Association of Teachers. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
