Marvin Clinton Cross was born on June 29, 1929 in Goddard, Kansas to Clinton Dallas and Hazel May Ward Cross, the second of two sons. Marvin worked at Wichita High School West as a security guard from 1968 until his retirement in 1991. Prior to working at WHSW he was a crane operator for local sand and gravel companies.
