Margaret Burress Hunnicutt, 89, retired West High English and Journalism teacher and world traveler, passed away July 13, 2010. She was born July 29, 1920 to Lee Allan and Bertha Burress in Wichita. She graduated from Wichita University in 1943 and received her Masters from Kansas State University. After retirement, she was involved in Project Beauty, Botanica, and many other organizations. Graveside services 10 a.m., Wed. July 21, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita. Preceded by brother, Lee Allen Buress, Jr. and grandson, Steven Scott. Survivors: daughter, Marilyn Scott, Diane Britton, and Susan Balman, all of the Wichita area; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorials: (In lieu of flowers) American Lung Assoc. Hillside Mortuary East.
