Wichita, Kansas - Panfila "Pat" Galvan, 91, Retired Spanish Teacher, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Graveside Service will be at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Calvary Cemetery. Preceded in death by her parents, Severiano and Donaciana Galvan; sisters, Felisa Galvan, Sr. Ignatius Galvan; brother, Lino Galvan. Survived by her brothers, Gayle (Terry) Galvan of Falls Church, VA, John Galvan, Lawrence Galvan; sisters, Magdalena Cox, Mary Ellen Lakomski. Ms Galvan taught Spanish at West High from the 1963 - 1964 school year until her retirement in 1992.

Ms. Galvan was a neighbor and dear friend of my parents. She was my Spanish teacher in H.S. and became a good friend in later years. I am sorry about her passing but know that she had a lovely, fulfilling life.

Ms. Galvan was my favorite teacher! She had a great sense of humor but I never questioned who was in control of her classroom. I have always been impressed with that yet never understood how she did it.
