Jack Edward Wooten

Jack Edward Wooten was born on January 28, 1928 In Muskogee, Oklahoma to William Clarence and Lizzie (née Acorn) Wooten.  Lizzie Acorn was a full blood member of the Cherokee Nation.  Mr Wooten taught mathematics and science at Wichita West from 1964 - 1965 school year until his retirement in 1988.  Prior to joining the faculty at West High he taught at Ketchum High School in Ketchum, Oklahoma and Valley Center High School in  Sedgwick County, Kansas.  Mr Wooten served in the US Army.
