Charles Stephen Hunsinger was born on July 17, 1930 in Lawrence, Kansas to Guy Charles and Velma Irene (née White) Hunsinger.   He taught business education classes at West High from the 1969 - 1970 school year until his retirement in 1990.  Prior to joining the faculty at Wichita West he taught physical and business education at both Glen Elder and Valley Center High Schools.  Mr Hunsinger was the head football coach at Valley Center High School,

VALLEY CENTER - Hunsinger, Charles Stephen Sr., 84, retired Teacher, Coach and Farmer, passed away Monday, November 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Carol Hunsinger; sons, Tom of London, England and Terry (Lisa) of Wichita. Preceded by son, Stephen Hunsinger; parents, Guy and Velma Hunsinger; brother, Don Hunsinger; and sister, Virginia Peare. Service 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at First United Methodist Church, 560 N.
